In their 2013 release "Welcome To The New," MercyMe spoke all about grace, and celebrated the new life that Christ offers us in entering the faith. With this next chapter, they explore what it means to live that faith out daily as followers that are committed for life. In their upcoming release "Lifer," (available March 31, 2017) MercyMe asks the question – what does it mean to be a "lifer" in the kingdom of God. Life is both a noun and a verb. It is the condition that distinguishes humans from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, functional activity, and continual change. It’s about how to spend ones’ life in a particular way, under particular circumstances, with vitality, vigor, and energy. When we do ‘life’ from a place of faith in God, we become unstoppable and unwavering. We feel connected to something so much bigger than ourselves and it’s that understanding that makes us committed to be "Lifer’s". Filled with positive, uplifting lyrics, along with energetic beats and soaring melodies, "Lifer" delivers the massive hits that MercyMe is known for.

We all want God to move the mountains in our lives that bring pain and trial. The reality is sometimes God moves the mountains the way we pray for Him to, and sometimes He answers our prayer in ways different than we wanted here on Earth. But for those of us in Christ, we have this incredible promise that regardless of the trials we face in this broken world, He will never leave us or forsake us. His gift to us is a peace that surpasses all understanding. Although He is able to do anything, He is always good and He is always faithful in the midst of our greatest pain and fears.

"The song ‘Even If’ is incredibly special to me. My son Sam is 15 years old, and he’s been a diabetic since he was two. When you’re a parent of a child with any kind of chronic illness, these things don’t go away. You have a lot of good days, but some days you feel like you’re losing bad. I was in the midst of one of those bad days when ‘Even If’ was written. ‘Even If’ is a reminder to people in difficult situations that don’t seem to go away. God is worthy long before any of those circumstances even showed up. In fact, what Christ has already done on the cross is probably the only thing we need to get through those circumstances. It’s a foundation that was built long before those difficulties came to be. This song is a declaration to God that even if He went silent and never said another word, He’s still worthy to be praised and that He’s our greatest hope in the midst of the trial." – Bart Millard (MercyMe)

Song Lyrics:

They say sometimes you win some
Sometimes you lose some
And right now
Right now I'm losing bad

I've stood on this stage
Night after night
Reminding the broken
It'll be alright
But right now
Oh right now I just can't

It's easy to sing
When there's nothing to bring me down
But what will I say
When I'm held to the flame
Like I am right now

I know You're able
And I know You can
Save through the fire
With Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone

They say it only takes a little faith
To move a mountain
Good thing
A little faith is all I have right now

But God when You choose
To leave mountains unmovable
Give me the strength
To be able to sing
It is well with my soul

I know the sorrow
I know the hurt
Would all go away
If You'd just say the word
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone

You've been faithful
You've been good
All of my days
Jesus, I will cling to You
Come what may
‘Cause I know You're able
I know You can

It is well with my soul
